ANALISIS ERGONOMI COCKPIT FORKLIFT KOMATSU FG-25 PADA PROSES MATERIAL HANDLING DI PT ECOGREEN OLEOCHEMICALS

Abstract


This study discusses ergonomics issue of operators who conduct material handling by using forklift Komatsu FG-25. Anthropometric measurements, analysis of Nordic Body Map, REBA (Rapid Entire Body Assessment) assessment, and SFMEA (Safety Failure Mode Effect Analysis) or Risk Assessment are used for the analysis. The results shows that the design of this forklift basically fit with the operator by 5%, 50% and 95% percentiles. However, couple of complaints are found on the buttocks, back, and waist with an average value of 3 (three) on a scale of 4 (four). Backed posture while operating the forklift is found 11 (eleven) with the REBA assessment. And for the risk assessment analysis, activities such as lifting, transporting and unloading have the highest value, approximately 36 (thirty six). From these results, some suggestions for improvement (corrective action) are discussed in order to minimize the risk of ergonomics issue.
